As part of our local chapter programming, we are making available this scholastic achievement award, which seeks to recognize graduating male students who has:

• Distinguished himself academically (minimum grade point average of 2.5/4.0)

• The qualities of a good student citizen ( 2 letters of recommendation)

• Participated in school and community activities

• Earned the respect of his teachers and peers (1 letter of recommendation)

• Acceptance to an accredited post-secondary educational institution

 

The formal application packet is provided for your convenience.  Please feel free to make as many copies as you need.  There is no limit to the number applications which may be submitted by a single Henrico County School.

Application Process:

1. Submit (3) copies of the completed application package, postmarked or emailed by Monday, April 1, 2024 midnight.

2. Include (1) transcript of grades in your completed package and a small color photo of yourself.

3. Submit the requested (3) letters of recommendation from school and community resource persons.

4. Upon receipt of the fully completed application package, a personal interview will be scheduled. (Dress appropriately)

5. The selected individuals will be notified after the school year ends.

6. Each of the selected individuals will be honored at  Weldon H. Smith Scholastic Achievement Ceremony date TBD. The selected individual will receive complimentary tickets to attend the ceremony with him.
